There are two ways of changing signatures and logos in Ear Works. Both are based on the assumption that you already have the signature or logo saved as an image file on your computer.
The most compatible files are bitmaps but to avoid slow loading make sure the bitmap files are not too large.
Method 1: Copy/Paste
a. Open the image file containing the logo or the signature in your favorite image editor software.
b. Select the entire image (usually by pressing Ctrl+A) and copy the image to the Clipboard (usually Ctrl+C)
c. Go to Ear Works, right-click on the field you want to paste the image to and choose Paste (or press Ctrl+V)
Method 2: Create from file
a. Go to Ear Works, right-click on the field you want to paste the image to and choose Object
b. In the next window choose Create from File option and click the Browse button
c. Select the image file containing the logo or the signature. Click OK.
d. Click OK in the linking window.
For best results the logo size should be proportional to 253(W)x67(H) pixels.
Avoid image transparency, use white background instead.
1. If instead of the image itself you see the name of the file in the image field (in Ear Works), save the original image as bitmap or png and try again.
2. If you get the error A problem occurred while Ear Works was communicating with the OLE Server and you have Norton Antivirus installed then there is a conflict between the security settings for the antivirus and the image import action. For details of how to solve this error you can see Microsoft's related article here.
