In Ear Works there are two general ways to group your patients and activity: Office and Location.
A Location is an activity center.
An Office is a business center.
You can have multiple Locations for each Office.
If you have a remote clinic that serves clients outside of your main clinic but uses the identity of your main clinic then the remote clinic is a Location of the main office.
A Location has a separate schedule and all patients, notes and tasks can have a location associated with them.
As of version 4.3.11 you can also request orders to be shipped to a location instead of the main office.
If your remote clinic has a different business name, or different supplier accounts or different address printed on the invoices then the remote clinic is an Office.
An office can have different settings, different users and user permissions and each patient has to be associated to one office. And of course, the Office can have its own set of remote Locations.
You can define locations from Administration>Locations.
You can only create or change your offices when you log in as the superuser 'ewsa'. Then open Administration>Offices.
